Top 10 OPI Colors

top 10 opi colorsI’m not sure about you, but I tend to think about nail polish…a lot.

The other day, I found myself pondering the question, “I wonder what OPI colors are most popular?”  Don’t ask me why, but I was.

Of course I resorted to my trusty Google to do a bit of digging.  Little did I know, OPI actually put out a “Best of the Best” mini set a few years ago.

I was somewhat surprised to discover that I actually owned eight out of the ten best polishes, and mostly agreed with their selections.  I figured I would do a post about them and my comments.  Enjoy!

Top 10 OPI Colors

Alpine Snow: A creme, true white polish.  The only white you will ever need in your collection.  I love this white, although, it does become a bit thick after a while.

Bubble Bath: Probably the first OPI polish I ever owned.  A sheer, light pink color.  It’s the perfect subtle pink color.  At 3 coats, it is still not completely opaque.

Tickle My Fance-y: Apparently this is the second best selling polish (after You Don’t Know Jacques! See below).  I have never actually tried this polish, but apparently what makes it so popular is that it goes with everything.  It is described as “an elegant nude that feels vintage.”  After reading this, I definitely want to pick it up.

Strawberry Margarita:  The only other color that I don’t own in the Top 10 OPI Colors.  A bright pink that is perfect for the summer.  Definitely another one I’m going to pick up.

Cajun Shrimp:  Some people would say this is a red, but I think it’s more of an orange color.  Gives a nice opaque look in two coats.  How would you describe it- as orange or red?  Looks amazing on tanned skin.

Big Apple Red:  This is probably my second OPI polish that I ever owned.  To me, this is the perfect red shade for my fair skin.  I constantly find it being my “go to red,” even though I own a ton of other reds.  Opaque in two coats.

I’m Not Really a Waitress:  A darker red with a slight shimmer to it.  It is almost a berry red I would say.  I was introduced to this within the last few years and love it.  It’s a perfect color for the fall and winter season.

You Don’t Know Jacques!:  Apparently the best selling OPI color.  I want to start by saying that I absolutely love this color, just not on me.  I feel like it looks muddy on me.  Anyone else that I’ve seen it on though I think it looks amazing.  The formula isn’t the best either.  I want to love You Don’t Know Jacques so bad!

Russian Navy:  A gorgeous, gorgeous navy color.  Depending on the lighting, it can almost look purple. It has a slight shimmer to it.

Lincoln Park After Dark:  This color really got me into the dark colors.  It looks like it could be black, but it actually has a dark purple undertone to it.  It is a great alternative to plain black.

There you have it, the roundup of the top 10 opi colors.  Do you agree on any of these?  Would love to hear in the comments below!
